BRENDA GAIL ALBRITTON HERRING

Brenda Gail Albritton Herring, age 63, of Fitzgerald, GA and formerly of Donalsonville, GA passed away Monday, Feb. 8, 2021 at Navicent Health Care in Macon, GA. The family will hold a private service for Mrs. Herring due to the on going COVID-19 pandemic. Friends who would like can watch the service on the Donalsonville Church of God Facebook page. Broadcast will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 13, 2021. There will be no formal visitation because of COVID pandemic, but those wishing to view and sign the guest book, may stop by the funeral home between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4 PM on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021. Please use masks, social distancing, and other COVID prevention measures. Mrs. Herring was born in Donalsonville, GA on Feb. 5, 1958 to Ray and Katherine Franklin Albritton. She graduated from Miller County High School in 1976 then received her Associates Degree from Macon Jr. College in 1983 before attending Florida State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in 1985. Brenda was a homemaker, as well as having owned her own interior design businesses, Buds and Blooms in Donalsonville, GA and Brenda’s in Bainbridge, GA. She has always been active in directing weddings and designing flowers. While in Macon, Mrs. Herring was active in fundraising for the Macon Symphony Orchestra and the First Presbyterian Day School. She has been active in many organizations in the Macon area, as well as serving on the design committee of the Mabel White Baptist Church. Mrs. Herring is a part of the church family of Donalsonville Church of God. She has been a devout Christian her entire life. Her testimony was evident by the way she lived her life. She was a treasured encourager to others and now is at home in Heaven. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Dr. Davey Herring of Fitzgerald, GA; her mother, Katherine Albritton of Colquitt, GA; her children, Charles Davis Herring of Valdosta, GA, Brenda Elizabeth Herring Johnson and husband James of Marion, NC, and Katie Amelia Herring and James Richard Albritton Herring both of Macon, GA; her brothers, Michael Albritton and wife Mary Jean and Wilton Albritton and wife Kristi all of Colquitt, GA; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her father, Ray Albritton and her daughter, Lena Margaret Herring. Arrangements entrusted to Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
