BRENDA FAYE LANE COWART

Brenda Faye Lane Cowart, age 72, of Iron City, GA passed away Sunday evening, December 17, 2023.  

A memorial service will be held on Thursday afternoon, December 21, 2023, at 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home at 3:00 PM.

Mrs. Cowart was born in Donalsonville, GA on August 4, 1951, to Bennie Hilton Lane and Ruth Williams Lane.  She earned her associates degree in nursing and worked for many years as a nurse, retiring from Bainbridge Health and Rehab.  Mrs. Cowart was a true caregiver in every aspect. She dearly loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Josh Cowart and Kelly Cowart, both of Iron City, GA; her brothers, Larry Lane and Kim of Bainbridge, GA and Stanley Lane of Tennessee; and her sister, Theresa Alexander and Mark of Headland, AL.  Also surviving are her grandchildren, Layton, Gavohn, and Leah; her great grandchildren, Alaya and Nolan; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.  

Mrs. Cowart was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Hilton and Ruth Williams Lane; her husband, Wayne Cowart; two brothers, Hilton Lane and Roger "Atlas" Lane; two sisters, Tonya Lane and Joy Dancer; and a granddaughter, Kalista.
