Betty Francis Wilson Butler, age 88, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday morning, Sept. 24, 2021 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services for Mrs. Butler will be held on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 25, 2021 at 5:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines. Mrs. Butler was born in Bainbridge, GA on Dec. 26, 1932 to Henry Washington Wilson and Mary Jane Burke Wilson. She was a homemaker and member of the Donalsonville Church of God. Mrs. Butler loved her family and traveling with them. She especially enjoyed being able to get out and go for walks in the woods when they would all be off traveling. Her love for cooking will always be remembered by her family as she especially enjoyed preparing meals for family times. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Diane Howell and husband Don of Iron City, GA, Gail Miller and husband Johnny of Colquitt, GA, and Curtis Butler, Jr. and wife Yolanda of Colquitt, GA; her grandchildren, Jamie Howell, Justin Howell, Sue Ann Grimsley, Johnny Green Miller, Cody Miller, and Kelly Poe; as well as 11 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Washington Wilson and Mary Jane Burke Wilson; her husband, Rev. Curtis Henry Butler, Sr., and her seven siblings.
