AUDREY BODIFORD SMITH

Audrey Bodiford Smith, age 91, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday morning, May 28, 2020 at Donalsonville Hospital. A private graveside service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020. Mrs. Smith was born in Donalsonville, GA on August 8, 1928 to Sidney and Esther Hicks Bodiford. She worked with ITT electrical in Bainbridge, GA as a wiring inspector until her retirement. Mrs. Smith was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family and working in her yard. Mrs. Smith was devoted to her church and her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Wanda Butler and husband Don of Pine Mountain, GA, Glenda Holt of Colquitt, GA, and Tommy Smith and his wife Melanie of Colquitt, GA; her sister, Edna Newberry and husband Bill of Blakely, GA, and her brother, Cecil Bodiford and wife Dyanne of Sorento, FL. Mrs. Smith is also survived by her grandchildren, Don Butler, Jr. and wife Linda, Christy Hulion and husband Gary, Ron Holt and wife Rachel, Cameron Holt, Brandon Smith, and Ansley Poague and husband Clay; her great grandchildren, Brett Butler and wife Alyse, Sydney Baker, Maggie Beth Rich and husband Harry, Garrett Baker, Mandy Morgan and husband Zack, Harlie Hardage and husband Charley, Weston Holt, Sadie Holt, Sawyer Holt, Henry Holt, Lexie Delbrey, Bowen Smith, Adleigh Smith, and Greyson Smith; as well as her great great grandchildren, Elsa Ruth Hardage and Noah Morgan. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Esther Hicks Bodiford; her husband, John Henry Smith; two brothers, Sanford Bodiford and Bobby Bodiford; a sister, Othell Bush; a daughter, Kathy Calhoun; a son-in-law, Ronnie Holt; and a great grandchild, Taylor Butler.
