ALAN BRITT BARNES

Alan Britt Barnes, age 65, of Sneads, FL and formerly of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Thursday evening, August 31, 2023, at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL.

A memorial visitation to celebrate Britt’s life will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.  The family invites you to come and share your memories of Britt with them.

Mr. Barnes was born in Donalsonville, GA on July 9, 1958, to Leon and Janie Cook Barnes.  He graduated from Seminole County High School in 1976 and worked as a truck driver for 30 years before his retirement.  Britt was glad to have been able to move back to Sneads, FL to be close to the Seminole County area he had always loved.  Fishing in Lake Seminole was something he truly enjoyed and never grew tired of doing.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his siblings, Craig Barnes and wife Brenda of Tifton, GA, Kay English of Thomson, GA, and Michael Barnes and his wife Sara of Marietta, GA, as well as his nephews and nieces, Brandon and Jason English, Amanda and Austin Barnes, Korey and Dallas Barnes, and Sophia Barnes.

Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Barnes, Janie Cook Barnes, and Betty Barnes, as well as his brother, Mark Barnes.
