ELIZABETH IVEY

July 16, 1917 — March 7, 2007

We regret to announce the passing of Elizabeth King Ivey, age 89, of Donalsonville who passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the First Church of the Nazarene in Donalsonville with Rev. Eric Boomer officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 8, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. You may share your thoughts with the family by visiting our website at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mrs. Ivey was born in Seminole County on July 16, 1917 to the late John Ira and Lucy Roland King. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and will be remembered as working as a cashier at IGA and Harveys. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Ivey in 1973. She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, John Michael Baxter and his wife Ann of Jonesboro, AR; Jack Ivey and his wife Helen of Donalsonville, GA; three daughters, Sherry Peace and her husband Anthony; Lucy Brock and her husband Steve; and Mary Daniels all of Donalsonville, GA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son, Bob Wesley Ivey. Pallbearers will be Bobby Sinquefield, Glen Whittaker, Edward Whittaker, Gene Horn, Larry Tyler and Bruce Phillips. Flowers accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund P.O. Box 466 Donalsonville, GA 39845. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
