We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Doris Browning, age 90, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away December 15, 2010 at Donalsonville Hospital in Donalsonville, GA. A memorial service was held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Good Hope Baptist Church in Naylor, GA with Rev. A.M. Anderson officiating. She was born in Valdosta, GA on May 4, 1920 to the late Ellie Elmore Goolsby and Verdie Mae Carter Goolsby. She was preceded in death by her husband Rowan Lewis Browning, and was a homemaker. She is survived by her three daughters, Evelyn Cushing of Ormond Beach, FL; Dale Brooks of Donalsonville, GA; Pam Anderson and her husband Ron of Richmond Hill, GA; one sister, Verna Farmer of Roswell, GA; cousin, James Goolsby of Naylor, GA; five grandchildren; Nancy Cushing, Bill McDaniel, Brad Brooks, Kimberly Anderson and Christian Anderson. She is also survived by four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellie Elmore Goolsby and Verdie Mae Carter Goolsby; her husband, Rowan Lewis Browning.
