We regret to announce the passing of Roy Odom, Sr. age 81, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Meddical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services for Mr. Odom will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Odom was born in Decatur County, GA on March 20, 1929 to the late Johnny and Lugene Atkinson Odom. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mathilde Odom of Donalsonville, GA; one son, Roy Odom and his wife, Delana of Ohau, HI; two daughters, Sarah Hemphill and her husband Sonny of Las Vegas, NV and Jonnie Temples of Donalsonville, GA; four grandchildren, Jerry Temples, Jr. and his wife Renee; Johnnie Temples and his wife Lori; Charles Temples and Trevor Hemphill; four great grandchildren, Landon Temples, Addison Temples, Bethany Temples and Samuel Kelley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Lugene Atkinson Odom and his siblings. Casketbearers will be members of the Seminole Masonic Lodge No. 83, Bobby Black, Steve Bailey, Stan Kennedy, Marlon James, Neal Spooner, Grover Kelley.
