We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Lee Cheshire McKeller, age 93, of Athens, GA formerly of Donalsonville, GA who passed away November 14, 2010 at Heritage Nursing Home in Athens, GA. Graveside services for Mrs. McKeller will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA with Dr. Ron McCaskill officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45 PM Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. McKeller was born September 25, 1917, in Houston County, AL to Daniel Porter and Ressie Julia Hawkins Cheshire. She lived the majority of her adult life in Donalsonville, GA. Her final years were spent in Athens, GA. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, writing poetry, music and going to church. She was a member of the Donalsonville First Baptist Church. She loved her heavenly Father, her family, and last but not least, she loved her faithful dogs. She is survived by daughter, Dorothy Faye McKeller Ard of Valdosta, GA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Ray and Bobbie McKeller of Athens, GA, Robert Eugene and Pat McKeller of Jacksonville, FL, and Daniel Larry McKeller of Dadeville, AL; grandchildren, Daniel Mark McKeller, Michael Allen McKeller, Jennifer McKeller, Jeffrey Scott McKeller, Patrick Lee McKeller, Daniel Jason McKeller, Gary Frank Ard, Debra Ann Ard DeLoach, Linda Gayle Ard Kovach; great grandchildren: Macy Shea McKeller, Dennis Evan McKeller, Ryan McKeller, Tristan Michael McKeller, Christopher Wade Ard, Jeffrey Alan Ard, Tetyana Valya Ard, Michael Joseph DeLoach, Ashli Brooke DeLoach Moore, Andrea Paige Kovach Martin, Megan Elizabeth Kovach Adams, Kristin Faith Kovach; great great-grandchildren: Cole David Adams, Grantham Thomas Martin, Mollie Elizabeth Adams, Case Allen Moore; brothers, Edsal Donnel Cheshire, Bishop CA; Billy Mack (Maxie) Cheshire, Dothan, AL; sister, Bonnie Inez Allen, Lynn Haven, FL. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Faulene McKeller; her parents, Daniel Porter and Ressie Julia Hawkins Cheshire; granddaughter, Shannon Michele McKeller; brother, Leamon Porter Cheshire; sisters, Flora Hardy, Sybil (Sunny) Grace Edwards, Ella Ruth Taylor Granberry, Martha Alene Adams; son-in-law, Alter W. Ard; daughter-in-law, Judyth (Judy) Hoch McKeller. Flowers accepted or in lieu of flowers donation may be made to a charity of your choice. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
