We regret to announce the passing of Mr. James Amos Culverhouse, age 74, of Tallahassee, FL who passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M, (CST) at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Bascom, FL with Rev. Henry Fullington officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bascom, FL. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 8, from 6:00-8:00 PM (CST) at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Culverhouse was born in Gordon, AL on November 5, 1936 to the late Amos Asberry and Doris Tidwell Culverhouse. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He served his country in the US Army and worked as a maintenance supervisor for real estate property. He is survived by his wife Eddie Vann Culverhouse of Tallahasse, FL; son, Robert Barton and Siusanne Culverhouse of Tallahassee, FL; daughters, Sandy and Scott Fenstermaker of Tallahassee, FL; and Toni Toma of Norfolk, MA; five sisters, Eleanor and Ed Ligon of Bristol, FL; Katie and Oscar McKinnie of Sneads, FL; Mary and Bob Garner of Alabaster, AL; Virginia and John Curls of Orlando, FL and Vernette and Ron Dant of Dothan, AL. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Lizzie and Annalise Culverhouse, Paul, Erica, Mindy and Jill Fenstermaker; Patrick, Jeffrey and Shane Toma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos Asbury and Doris Tidwell Culverhouse and one sister Emma Alice Culverhouse. Casketbearers will be Charles Olive, Johnny Olive, Gerald Thompson, Thurman Tidwell, Wilson Brogden, and Grady Cloud. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
