We regret to announce the passing of Mr. J. T. Battle, Jr. age 74, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. A graveside service, with military honors, will be held Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Kirk Loyless officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 2:00-2:45 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral in Donalsonville, GA. T. and Bessie Anderson Battle. He served his country in the US Air Force and retired from American General Life Insurance Company. He was also a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, GA. He is survived by a friend, Debra Lane of Donalsonville, GA; a daughter, Andrea Charping, two granddaughters, Danielle Charping and Crystal Charping; two great grandchildren; Timothy John Charping and Logan Beauman all of Columbia, AL; three brothers, Donnie Battle, Lonnie Battle, Billy Battle and Benny Battle; three sisters, Betty Glass, Mary Burgess and Margie O’Neal. He was preceded in death by his parents J. T. Sr. and Bessie Anderson Battle, his wife Mathilde Schlager Battle, two daughters, Mathilde and Maria Battle; a sister, Leatha Mae Quartermanch and a brother James Battle. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
