We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Henderson Clark, age 84, of Bainbridge, GA who passed away, Sunday, October 17, 2010 at the home of her daughter. Funeral services for Mrs. Clark will be held on Tuesday, October. 19, 2010 at 11:00 A.M at First Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Dr. Ron McCaskill, Rev. Paul Medley and Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Climax Baptist Church with another visitation one hour prior to the service that will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 19 2010 at First Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Clark was a native of Seminole County where she graduated from SCHS in 1943 and worked as a bookkeeper for Holman Mule Company and Julian Webb while her husband served in World War II. She completed her B.S. from the University of Florida. She fulfilled a life long dream when she began Clark’s Christian Books and Supplies on the Square in Bainbridge in 1974. She was married to Rev. T. Jack Clark, Jr. for 56 years until his passing on their 56th wedding anniversary. She will be remembered for the unique way she served the Lord during her husband, Bro. Jack’s ministry of fifty years as she taught adult Sunday school, led WMU and worked with the young people of their various pastorates. They began full time ministry at Pine Level in Cairo in 1953. Twice they served at Southside Baptist in Camilla and Climax Baptist Church in Climax. They also served Jakin, Black Jack, West Bainbridge and Franklin churches in Decatur in County, Ladonia in Phoenix City (AL), Lakeside in Albany, Bagdad Baptist (FL) and Rocky Ford in Valdosta. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bainbridge, GA. She is survived by her daughter and husband, Fran and Dr. Ron McCaskill of Donalsonville, their three sons Shawn and Heath McCaskill of Las Vegas, NV and Dr. Matthew McCaskill of Charleston, SC; one great grandson, Thomas McCaskill of Senoia, GA; her sister, Annie Pearl Grimes McGowan of Colquitt and her brother and his wife Cooper and Dean Henderson of Cairo, GA; sisters in law Bette Donaldson Ochlockonee, GA; Dot and Buddy Charron of Englewood, FL; Ruth Bishop of Greenville, FL and Bobbie Daniels of Fayetteville, NC; Nancy Apter of Palm Harbor, FL and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben Z. Henderson and Ida Belle Moulton Henderson, her sister, Lois Fiveash Hill Williams of Donalsonville and L.Z. Henderson of Port St. Joe, FL. Casketbearers will be Les Grimes, Clint Grimes, Mike Henderson, David Clark, David Butler and John Eakin. Honorary casketbearers will be Climax Baptist Church Deacons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 81, Donalsonville, GA 39845 or Wiregrass Hospice, 432 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39817. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
