We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Dave Brown Lane, age 68, of Iron City, GA who passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at his residence Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Dr. Calvin Arnold officiating. Mr. Lane was born in Decatur County, GA on June 15, 1942 to the late Thomas Clay Lane, Sr. and Lila Russell Lane. He graduated from Seminole County High School in 1960; attended college for two years; then became a successful equipment salesman; working for Nichols Tractor for 32 years. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Donalsonville, GA. He is survived by his wife, Donna H. Lane of Iron City, GA; one son, Doug Lane and his wife JoAnn of Donalsonville, GA; three daughters; Donna Williams and her husband Jackie of Donalsonville, GA; Heather Mathis and her husband Brad of Attapulgus, GA and Paula Jones of Colquitt, GA. step-sons,Jeremy Dozier and his wife Samantha of Kennesaw, GA; Ben Dozier of Iron City, GA; four sisters; Merle L. Davis and her husband Hunter of Colquitt, GA; Joy A. Lane of Iron City, GA; Laura L. Easom and her husband Wayne of Donalsonville, GA and Marijane L. Scarborough and her husband Ed of Iron City,GA. He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Clay Lane, Sr. and Lila Russell Lane; two brothers Thomas Clay Lane, Jr. and James D. (Billy) Lane. Active casketbearers will be Junior Trawick, Kim Rentz, David Barber, Lanier Lane, Craig Griffin and Thomas Stone. Honorary casketbearers will be Joe Burke, Buddy Lee, Chris Thomas, Steve Bailey, Jack Shamblin, Danny Watson, Lewis Godby, Phillip Williams, Glen Heard, Larry Hornsby, Tommy Dollar, Hugh Dollar, Todd Massey, Robert Cohen, Keith Griffin, Timmy Hiers, and James Groover.
