We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Wilma White Hughes, age 89, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, GA. Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Mrs. Hughes was born in Blakely, GA on July 7, 1921 to the late Means Weaver and Omabelle Horn White. She was a homemaker and worked as a supervisor and graded peanuts at Planter’s Product and Gold Kist Peanut Company in Donalsonville, GA. She is survived by one daughter, Laverne Hawkins and her husband, Gene of Albany, GA; a grandson, Andrew Hawkins and his wife Kim of Orlando, FL; three great-grandchildren Conner Hawkins, Jack Hawkins, Margaret Elizabeth Hawkins all of Orlando, FL She was preceded in death by her parents, Means Weaver and Omabelle Horn White; her husband, Willard Lawson Hughes; her brothers and sister, Stella W. Brownlee, Evadne W. Bynum, Lucius White, Yellowton.Thaxton (Y.T.) White, Annette White, Weaver White, Calvin White and Dorothy Eugena W. Antley.
