We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Smith Odom, age 78, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away, Monday, October 11, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Odom will be held on Wednesday, October. 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Donalsonville Church of God in Donalsonville, GA. Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Donalsonville Church of God. Mrs. Odom was born in Donalsonville, GA on July 6, 1932 to the late Green and Ammie Elkins Smith. She attended Donalsonville Church of God. She worked in retail working at Thomas 5 and 10 and manager of Bills Dollar Store for over 26 years, after retirement she worked part-time at Dollar General. She is survived by three sons, Billy Odom, Steve "Puppy" Odom,Wayne Odom all of Donalsonville, GA; a daughter, Anne Stark of Donalsonville, GA; one grandson Reed Stark; two brothers, Ray Smith and his wife Diane of Winder, GA, James Smith and his wife Lorna of Jesup, GA. She was preceded by her parents,Green and Ammie Elkins Smith, her husband, Herbert"Bud" Odom;three brothers, Samuel Smith, Travis Smith, Bernice Smith, two sisters, Joyce Skiles and Jean Mathis. Active casketbearers will be Jackie Smith, Raymond Mathis, Clint Smith, Ricky Smith, Stanley Enfinger and Michael Smith. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Flint River Hospice 402 N. West St. Bainbridge, GA 39819. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
