We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Wynetta Wade McLendon, age 76, of Colquitt, GA on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. McLendon will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Flat Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Johns officiating. Interment will follow in Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. McLendon will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. McLendon was born in Colquitt, GA on January 27, 1934 to the late Frank Wiley and Maggie Johnson Wade. She attended Flat Creek Baptist Church worked as a secretary and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Ross McLendon of Colquitt, GA; a son Phillip and Nancy McLendon of McDonough, GA; sisters, Nita and Jack Whiddon of Doyles, GA, Bobbie Peace of Moultrie, GA, Mildred and Hays Bowen of Colquitt, GA, and Evelyn Forsyth of Haines City, FL. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Ivey McLendon and Halie McLendon both of Colquitt, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Wiley and Maggie Johnson Wade; a son, Steve McLendon; three sisters, Maggie Mae Gordon, Annie Lee Glass, and Mary Wade; five brothers, Bill Wade, Forest Wade, Maxwell Wade, Randolph Wade, and Roger Wade. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
