MARGARET POLLOCK

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Vera Margaret Pollock, age 82, of Iron City, GA who passed away Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Donalsonville Hospital in Donalsonville, GA. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Mrs. Pollock was born in Early County, GA on February 9, 1928 to the late Bitz and Lucille Brantley Corley. She attended Cedar Springs Assembly of God Church, was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress. She is survived by two sons, Larry and Donna Pollock of Iron City, GA and James Edward and Ellen Pollock of Ponce De Leon, FL; a daughter, Lucille Richmond of Iron City, GA; and a sister, Dorothy Martin of Moultrie, GA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bitz and Lucille Brantley Corley; her husband Edward Earl Pollock; a son, Danny Ray Pollock; a brother, John Corley; two sisters, Clara Lay and Betty Anderson; and two grandchildren, John Edward Pollock and Johnathon Pollock. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
