We regret to announce the passing of Bridgett Burke Powell, age 33, of Iron City, GA who passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Worship Assembly in Donalsonville with Rev. Jason Minter and Rev. Charles Barnieu officating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA . Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 25, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Powell was born in Donalsonville, GA on September 28, 1973 to Ladon and Linda Burke of Iron City, GA . She was a 1993 graduate of Seminole County High School and a member of Iron City Baptist Church. She worked as a secretary with Georgia Department of Corrections in Bainbridge, GA. She is survived by two daughters, Ivy and Landre Powell and their father, Mark; her parents, Ladon and Linda Burke all of Iron City; brother, Brad and Angie Burke; sister, Lola and Allen Givens all of Donalsonville. Mother-in-law Ginger and Billy Gene Hand of Iron City; Father-in-law Jim and Julie Powell of Columbus, GA. Grandmother-in-Law Lillian Easterwood of Iron City; Brother-in-laws Michael and Jana Powell of Iron City and Matthew Powell of Columbus, GA. She is also survived by three nieces,Chelsea Givens,Carlee Burke and Savanna Powell and one nephew, Justin Burke. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Gordon and Esther Burke, Rollie and Ruth Broxton and her grandfather-in-law Emory Easterwood. Pallbearers will be Michael Kirkland, Loren Rathel, Randy Bryan, Robbie Hatcher, Doug Cunningham, Chason Newberry. Honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday School Class at Iron City Baptist Church Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
