OLA MAE CULPEPPER HOWARD

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Ola Mae Howard, age 95, of Jakin, GA who passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Howard will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, at 3:00 PM at Jakin Free Will Baptist Church in Jakin, GA with Rev. Wayne Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM at the church. Mrs. Howard was born in Samson, AL on August 12, 1914 to the late Joseph and Carrie Stevens Culpepper. She was a member of Jakin Free Will Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, John A. "Dick" Howard and his wife Glenda of Jakin, GA; a brother, Shelton Culpepper of Houston City, FL; two sisters, Doris Mims of Crawfordville, FL and Lobis Windham of Panama City, FL; two grandchildren, Scott Howard and Harvaleen Colgan; two great grandchildren, Nichole Perez and Charity Torres; and numerous great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Culpepper and Carrie Stevens Culpepper; her husband, John A. Howard, Sr.; a daughter, Edna Earle Hill; and two brothers, W.C. Culpepper and Henry Culpepper.
