We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Annie Clyde Cox Carroll, age 90, who passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at her residence in Iron City, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Carroll will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Darrell Newberry officiating. Interment will follow in the New Enterprise Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Mrs. Carroll was born on September 28, 1919 in Clio Al to the late John D. Cox and Sarah Amanda Barfield Cox. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Hansel Carroll of Iron City, GA; two sons, Roy Carroll and his wife Brenda of Sylvester, GA and Doyle Carroll and his wife Desiree of Iron City, GA; two daughters, Annette Kirkland of Tallahassee, FL and Barbara Ann Wiggins of Marianna, FL and thirteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren and well as numerous nieces and nephews. Casketbearers will be Kenneth Spooner, Earl Daniels, James Carroll, Lue Hendrickson, Brandon Hendrickson and Steven Wiggins. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, 432 East Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39817. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
