We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Lois Woodham Cross, age 92, of Iron City, GA who passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Cross will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Iron City Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Young and Rev. Gary Aslin officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Cross was born in Midland City, AL on September 28, 1917 to the late John Wesley Woodham and Lillie Sanders Woodham. She was a member of Iron City Baptist Church for over 55 years, was a homemaker and for 25 years she worked at Jack Winters, which was a division of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She is survived by one son, Charles Cross, Sr. of Hickory Flat, GA; one daughter, Kathryn Logue and her husband Buryl of Iron City, GA ; one brother, Billy Woodham and his wife Jo of Donalsonville, GA; two daughter-in-laws, Betty Cross of Bascom, FL and Gayla Barton of Donalsonville, GA; one sister-in-law, Peggy Woodham of Iron City, GA; seven grandchildren, Charles Cross, Jr., Clay Logue, Paul Cross, Suzanne Logue, John Cross, Wes Logue and Kelly Cross. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Chandler Cross, Carter Cross, Katelyn Cross and Alyssa Cross. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley Woodham and Lillie Sanders Woodham; her husband, William Emory Cross; two sons, Joseph Cross and Darrell Cross; three brothers, Rufus Woodham, Henry Woodham and Herbert Woodham and one sister, Florence W. Jackson. Active casketbearers will be Charles Cross, Sr., Charles Cross, Jr., Paul Cross, Wes Logue, Clay Logue, John Cross, Buryl Logue and Andy Cross. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
