We regret to announce the passing of Riley Harold Dean infant son of Joshua and Kydie Sheffield Dean of Jakin, GA who passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Funeral services for Riley will be held on Friday morning, July 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Jakin Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Sheffield and Rev. Randy Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Riley was born in Birmingham, AL on June 20, 2010 to Joshua and Kydie Sheffield Dean. He is survived by his parents, Joshua and Kydie Sheffield Dean, a brother, Landen Dean of Jakin, GA; maternal grandparents, Rev. Wayne and Shirley Sheffield of Colquitt, GA; paternal grandparents, Rev. Randy and Pam Dean of Ashford, AL; paternal great grandmothers, Peggy Ming of Dothan, AL and Janice Dean of Ashford, AL; uncles, Amos and Carol Sheffield, and Andrew and Rebecca Sheffield all of Donalsonville, GA; aunt, Katie and Fred Rice of Ashford, AL; cousins, Jana Sheffield, Kate Sheffield, and Luke Rice. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Ed and Verna Sheffield, and Leroy and Eunice Rathel; paternal great grandfathers, Harold Dean and Ray Ming. Casketbearers will be Amos Sheffield, Andrew Sheffield, and Fred Rice.
