Georgia Kane Hughes

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Georgia Hughes of Florida and formerly of Donalsonville, GA who passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in Florida. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper with Rev. Matt Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Hughes was born in Camden, NJ on July 23, 1934 to the late George W. and May Abbott Kane. She was a member of Red Level Baptist Church and worked as a nurse. She was a volunteer for Citrus County Sheriff’s Patrol and Citrus Springs Elementary School. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ginder and her husband David of Mt. Joy, PA; Susan Easom and her husband Jay of Dunnellon, FL; one son, David Hughes and his wife Laura of Altus, OK; grandchildren, Brad Easom, Douglas Easom, Destiny Ginder, Autumn Ginder, Maria Ginder, Kristina Hughes, Sara Hughes and Jessica Hughes. She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and May Abbott Kane and her husband, Robert W. Hughes. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
