MONCILE WILLIAMS MCLENDON

February 15, 1924 — June 11, 2010

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Moncile Williams McLendon, age 86, of Colquitt, GA who passed away Friday, June 11, 2010 at Early County Nursing Home in Blakely, GA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at 4:00 PM, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with burial to follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville with Rev. Sterling Jones and Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Mrs. McLendon was born in Colquitt, GA on February 15, 1924 to the late John Ben and Agnes Johnson Williams. She was a member of South Mt. Zion Church of God and had worked as a seamstress at Donny Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Leon McLendon. She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Hardage and her husband Charles of Buena Vista, GA and Bobbie Tew and her husband Kenneth of Donalsonville, GA; two sisters, Ramona Stegall and her husband Tuggie and Betty Cross and her husband Perry both of Colquitt, GA; and her grandchildren, Chuck Hardage and his wife Vicki, Todd Hardage and his wife Teresa, Scott Kirkland and his wife Wendy and Shanna Enfinger and her husband Eric. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews and special neighbors, Janice and Quinn Smith. She was preceded in death by parents, John Ben and Agnes Johnson Williams; her husband, Leon McLendon; four grandchildren and son-in-law Roger Norman. Active casketbearers will be Chuck Hardage, Todd Hardage, Scott Kirkland, Eric Enfinger, Chase Hardage and Charlton Hardage. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
