We regret to announce the passing of Ella V. Norris Lemke, age 83, of Pensacola, FL formerly of Columbus, GA, who passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the Convenant Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Pensacola, FL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church in Iron City, GA with Rev. Ronnie Morrision officating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Lemke was born in Iron City, GA on November 26, 1922 to the late Marshall Blanco and Jewell Williams Norris. She was married to William Augusta Lemke who preceded her in death. She worked in the school system in Muscogee County and was a member of Hillcrest Church of God in Columbus, GA. She is survived by two sons, Robert Martin Cawvey, Jr. of Jesup, GA; William Augusta, Jr. and Patty Lemke of Hollywood, FL; two brothers, William P. Norris of Pensacola, FL; David T. and Karen Norris of Jesup, GA; one sister, Elaine and Ernest Jenkins of Pensacola, FL. Three grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren also survived. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother Eddie Norris. Pallbearers will be Dewayne Williams, Gene Williams, Ernest Jenkins, Jr., Marty Cawvey and Mark Cawvey. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
