We regret to announce the passing of Thomas Lawson Hicks, age 83, of Donalsonville, GA, who passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Parthenon Healthcare in Blountstown, FL. Graveside service for Mr. Hicks will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Oakview Church of God Cemetery in Donalsonville with Rev. Herman Enfinger officiating. Visitation will be at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 from 7:00-9:00 PM. He served his country in the US Army in World War II and was a carpenter. He was married to the late Beatrice Hales Hicks. He is survived by a daughter, Patsy and Rev. Herman Enfinger and a sister, Alice and James Whitaker, all of Donalsonville, GA. Six grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Ladell Hicks and a sister, Ilene McGowan. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
