DENNIS EUGENE BURTON

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Dennis Eugene Burton, age 68, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in Cedar Springs, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Spring Cemetery in Cedar Springs, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00AM at Evans-Skipper. Mr. Burton was born in Cedar Springs, GA on May 17, 1941 to the late Laurence Pittman and Lillian Lorene Plymal Burton. He was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church. After retiring from the US Air Force he worked as a mechanic. He is survived by one son, Travis Burton of Donalsonville, GA; two daughters, Denise McKendry and her husband Gerry of Powhatan, VA and Karen Turner and her husband Tim of Ofallon. MS He is also survived by 2 grandchildren Joshua and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence Pittman and Lillian Lorene Plymal Burton, his wife, Lorraine Lord Burton and one brother Willliam Burton. Active casketbearers will be the US Air Force. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
