MARTHA JANE ROBERTS

We regret to announce the passing of Martha Jane Clarke Roberts, age 82, of Donalsonville who passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Roberts will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Donalsonville with Dr. Ron McCaskill and Rev. Luther Hastey officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. You may share your thoughts with the family by visiting our website at www.evansskipperfh.com. Mrs. Roberts was born in Seminole County on April 15, 1924 to the late Bradshaw and Rena Bradley Clarke. She was a homemaker and active in her community, having been a member of the Donalsonville Woman's Club for many years and serving on the library board for a number of years. She was also an active member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Roberts leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Dave Roberts, one daughter, Jane Johnson and her husband Stan; and a brother, J.B. Clarke and his wife Laurie all of Donalsonville, GA. Also surviving are two grandsons, Ansley Johnson and his wife Kimberly of Bainbridge, GA and Clarke Johnson and his wife Emmelyn of Valdosta, GA. Her parents and her husband, Truett Davis Roberts preceded her in death. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
