We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Elmeda Armstrong Lee, age 67, of Macon, GA who passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Harts Mortuary at the Cupola in Macon, GA with Elder Dan Bryant officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Graveside services and interment will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA with Elder Ross Plowdon officiating. Visitation will be held in Donalsonville from 10:30 AM to 12:00 Noon on Tuesday at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Lee was born in Browns Crossroads Community in Henry County, AL on November 27, 1942. She grew up in Dothan, Alabama. Mrs. Lee graduated Magna Cum Laude from Troy State University and earned her Masters in Chemistry. She taught Science in Bainbridge, GA. She and her husband moved to Macon in 1981 and she managed their insurance office until they both retired. She attended Grace Primitive Baptist Church in Macon and was a member of New Prospect Primitive Baptist Church in Henry County, AL. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 43 years, Chester W. Lee; two sons, Bryan L. Parish and his wife Margie and Brandon A. Lee and his wife Vickie; two grandsons, Brandon and Matthew Parish; a granddaughter, Allison Lee; her mother-in-law, Louise Lee; and a sister-in-law, Sharla Shults and her husband Jim. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna Herring Armstrong and Floyd Eugene Armstrong; her brother, Floyd Hodges Armstrong; and her first husband, James Carlton Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either New Prospect Primitive Baptist Church, 108 Carimar Place, Headland, AL 36345 c/o Elder Jim Dixon or Grace Primitive Baptist Church, 272 Sandpiper Lane, Byron, GA 31008 c/o Larry Wiggins.
