HERMAN NICKY COX

We regret to announce the passing of Herman Nicky Cox, age 54, of Colquitt, who passed away at the Donalsonville Hospital on August 7, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at the New Home Freewell Baptist Church in Colquitt, GA with Rev. Benjamin Miller and Rev. Walter Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, at New Home Freewill Baptist Church. He was an auto mechanic for a number of years with City Motor Company in Donalsonville before he and his father opened and operated Cox Garage. He was a member of New Home Freewill Baptist Church and was a 1970 graduate of Miller County High School and an avid sports fan. Nicky enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and making everyone smile. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Debbie Burke Cox; two sons, Tyler Cox and Steven Gause and one daughter, Hannah Cox; one sister, Karla Cloninger and her husband, Brian and two nieces, Emily and Anna Beth all of Colquitt, GA. Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Holley, Ronnie Skipper, Danny Helms, Mickey Womble, Randy Everson and Rocky Duncan. Honorary pallbearers will be the Miller County High School Class of 1970. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
