Mrs. Phyllis Cannady Cobb, age 58, died Wednesday morning at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The Malone, FL native was a 1966 graduate of Malone High School. Mrs. Cobb moved to Donalsonville in 1970 and remained there until moving to Brooklet, GA in 2001. She was a graduate of the Riley Business School and a 1986 graduate of Jinks School of Nursing as an LPN. Mrs. Cobb was employed as an LPN with various state agencies, health departments, dialysis center and most recently the Crisis Unit on John's Place in Statesboro. She was a member of the Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville and attended Brooklet United Methodist Church in Brooklet. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Harry Cobb of Brooklet ; two sons, Eric Cobb of Columbus and Jamie Cobb of Woodstock; her mother, Eunice Mathis of Malone, FL; a sister Sue Elmore of Bonifay, FL and two brothers, Bill Cannady of Malone, FL and Frankie Mathis of Pennsacola, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Thursday evening at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Moye officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM at the Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville with Rev. Wes Moye officiating with burial in the Friendship Memorial Gardens.
