LELA "NUNCKY" HORNSBY DAVIS

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Lela "Nuncky"Hornsby Davis, age 75, of Orange Park, FL who passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at The Terrace in Fleming Island, FL. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Richard Trawick officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 at the funeral home. Mrs. Davis was born in Donalsonville, GA on August 11, 1934 to the late Clarence and Mildred Sanders Hornsby. She graduated from Seminole County High School and was a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Arthur I. Davis of Orange Park, FL; three sons, Jimmy Ray Austin and his wife Teresa of Orange Park, FL, Scott A. Austin and his wife Barbara of Orange Park, FL, Anthony I. Davis and his wife Karen of Athens, GA; two daughters, Stacy Yost and her husband Tom of Middleburg, FL and Susan Denise Tackett and her husband Anthony of Monroe, GA; three brothers, Jimmy Hornsby and his wife Juree of Donalsonville, GA, Eugene Hornsby and his wife Jackie of Iron City, GA, and Bobby Hornsby and his wife Janice of Donalsonville, GA; and one sister, Atherlone Trawick and her husband Branda Jr. of Iron City, GA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mildred Sanders Hornsby. Active casketbearers will be Joshua Austin, Jacob Austin, Caleb Austin, Alex Yost, Jarod Austin, Kyle Davis, Christopher Donalson, and Devon Tackett. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
