We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Georgia Sybil Roberts, age 95, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 PM and graveside services will follow immediately at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Jakin, GA with Veachel Williams speaking. Mrs. Roberts was born in Cedar Springs, GA on November 3, 1914 to the late Rufus and Lela Rooks Hill. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a seamstress for Jack Winters and Bruce Synder Manufacturing. One of her many hobbies was quilting and she was known for her pretty home made quilts. She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Lanette Easom and her husband Sterling of Dothan, AL; Sara Stevens and her husband Joe of Leesburg, FL; Kaye Ingram and her husband Sam of Pansey, AL; and Cynthia Gibson and her husband Ernie of Sylvester, GA; two sons, Charles Roberts and his wife Ramona of Albany, KY and Ronnie Roberts and his wife Susan of Dublin, CA; 21 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Lela Rooks Hill; her husband, John Eston Roberts; four brothers, Bud, Jake, Tom, and Marcine Hill; four sisters, Annie Mae Bishop, Ruby Glass, Johnnie Joiner, and Emily Garrett; two daughters, Martha Grimes and Rachel Whitten; one great grandson, Kerry Ingram. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
