Addie E. Barber

We regret to announce the passing of Addie E. Barber, age 86, of Brinson who passed away Monday, July 10, 2006 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Bethany Baptist Church in Brinson with Dr. Ron McCaskill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Barber was born in Seminole County on May 22, 1920 to the late Willie and Hattie Clarke Everett. She was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker and will be remembered as working with her son Will at the flower shop. She was married to Leonard Barber, who preceded her in death. She is survived by four sons, Robert Barber of Jackson, AL; James Barber and his wife Judy of Brinson, GA; Billy Barber and his wife, Connie of Iron City, GA; and Will Barber of Donalsonville, GA. One sister, Grace Kirkland and her husband, Felix of St. Petersburg, FL. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Eugene Everett and Watson Everett and one sister, Hattie Ree Shores. Pallbearers will be Bruce Barber, Russell Barber, Kevin Fricks, Randy Barber, Steve Shores and Roger Edmunds. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
