Frank L. Standifer, Sr.

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Frank L Standifer, Sr., age 65, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 in Brooksville, FL. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Minister Rickey Eppes and Rev. Wade Bridges officiating. Interment will follow at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Colquitt, GA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 P.M. at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mr. Standifer, was born in Erick, OK on January 30, 1944 to Hazel M. Riddle Standifer and the late Lawrence Boyd Standifer. He was of the Baptist faith and had served his country in the US Air Force and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Standifer was a truck driver. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Hazel M. Owen of Edmond, OK; three sons, Frank Standifer, Jr and his wife Tommie Sue and Owen Standifer all of Colquitt, GA and Kevin Sconyers and his wife Jennifer of Shreveport, LA; three daughters, Lori Sessions and her husband Darryl of Camden, AL; LeAnn Sapp and her husband Robert of WeekiWachee, FL; and Tonya Cross and her husband Brad of Donalsonville, GA; one brother, Doyle G. Standifer and his wife Sharon of Edmond, OK; and one sister, Peggy Forbes and her husband Dennis of Lebanon, MO. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and a special friend, Jeanette Moates. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Boyd Standifer and his step-father, Ben Owen. Active casketbearers will be Brad Cross, Louie Cross, Chris Moates, Isaac Bush, Justin Whittaker and Frank Barron. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
