LUCY MAE BERRY

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Lucy Berry, age 93, of Dothan, AL who passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Berry will be held on Monday, January 4, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Berry was born in Colquitt, GA on October 21, 1916 to the late James Smiley and Mattie L. Newberry Grubbs. She was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling. She leaves to cherish her memory a son, William Bradley Berry and his wife Kathleen of Plano, TX; and a granddaughter, Jessica Brevard. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Smiley and Mattie L. Newberry Grubbs; and her husband, William Monte Berry. Honorary casketbearers will be Don Harrison, Alton Harrison, Winfred Taylor, Lajoy Hagler, David Givens, and Allen Givens. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
