ADA MAE CONYERS

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Ada Mae Conyers, age 80, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Conyers will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009, at 10:00 AM at Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts and Rev. Johnny Shepard officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 20, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. Mrs. Conyers was born in Donalsonville, GA on September 29, 1929 to the late Edd and Ellen Hatton Burke. She was a member of Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, M.J. Conyers of Donalsonville, GA; three sons, Joseph Conyers and his wife Pat of Bainbridge, GA, William Elliot Conyers and his wife Roxie of Cheyenne, WY, and Harry Dewayne Conyers and his wife Jeannie of Ashford, AL; a daughter, Dorothy Jones and her husband William of Prattville, AL; and a sister, Rose Donalson of Bainbridge, GA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Ellen Hatton Burke. Active casketbearers will be Robert Thursby, Joe Thursby, Andy Jones, David Conyers, Dicky Lay, and Gene Burke. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Reynolds Chapel United Methodist Church 2676 Burke Road, Donalsonville, GA 39845 or to Hospice of Southwest Georiga 1323 East Shotwell Street, Bainbridge, GA 39817.
