WALTER JOSEPH HASTY

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Walter Joseph Hasty, age 86, of Bascom, FL who passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 24, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services for Mr. Hasty will be held on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 at 11:00 AM EST at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Pastor Mike Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Conrad Cemetery in Bascom, FL. The family will receive friends at their home on Thursday evening, Nov. 26, 2009 beginning at 6:00 PM CST. Mr. Hasty was born in Jackson County, FL on July 11, 1923. He was a farmer and major supporter of Amazing Facts Ministries. He leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Lynnie Hasty and his wife Carolyn of Bascom, FL; a daughter, Dorothy Davis and her husband Lester of Valdosta, GA; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Southard, Samuel Hasty, Nathan Hasty, Benjamin Hasty, Jonathan Hasty, Kimberly Davis, and Opal Davis; and two great grandchildren, Callie Southard and Alena Southard. He was preceded in death by his parents William Hope and Eula Pennington Hasty; his wife, Opal Hurst Hasty; brothers Thaddeus Rudolph Hasty, Benard Ephren Hasty William Absolum Hasty, Marvin Lee Hasty, and John Henry Hasty; sisters Alleen Levonia Wellman, Dora Bell Milliron and Bernice Irene Davison. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Amazing Facts Ministries. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
