We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Valeta Faircloth Whittaker, age 90, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Whittaker will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with interment to follow in Spring Creek Baptist in Donalsonville, GA. Mrs. Whittaker was born in Donalsonville, GA on February 8, 1919 to the late Emerson and Bell Earnest Faircloth. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church Cemetery and was a homemaker. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend to all. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son E.J. Whittaker and his wife Louise of Dothan, AL; one daughter, Shelva Jean Payne and her husband Roy of Liberty, NC; one daughter-in-law Amelia Brookins Whittaker; one sister Grace Faircloth Whittaker both of Donalsonville, GA. She was also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, E.D. Whittaker; two sons, Elliott Whittaker, Jr., and Mainous Whittaker; a daughter, Rochelle Moore and one grandson Danny Tucker. Casketbearers will be Howard Whittaker, Dave Whittaker,Greg Whittaker, Cleve Whittaker, Jason Whittaker and Craig Whittaker. Honorary casketbearers Ronnie Garrett and Steve Garrett Todd Tucker and Michael Whittaker. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
