Gerald Odom

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. Gerald "Bear" Odom, age 55, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009 at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Seminole Shores Cemetery in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. John Smith officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, November 23, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Odom was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 29, 1954 to the late Woodrow and Geraldine Sullivan Odom. He attended Salem Seminole Baptist Church; worked with plantation services and was an avid hunter and fisherman. As you can tell by his nickname he was loved by all his family and friends. He is survived by a brother Ellis Odom and his wife Dianne of Donalsonville, GA three sisters: Judy Cook of Donalsonville, GA; Ruby Jean Alday and her husband Gary of Ashford, AL; Patricia Roberts of Cairo, GA; Margaret Wimberly and her husband Randy of Bainbridge, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow and Geraldine Sullivan Odom.
