We regret to announce the passing of Colonel Brown Stinnett, age 69, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Thursday evening, June 8, 2006 at his residence. Graveside funeral services for Mr. Stinnett will be held on Saturday morning, June 10, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Iron City, GA with the Rev. Monty Lassister officiating. Mr. Stinnett was born on June 9, 1936 in Dayton, Tennessee to the late Claude and Carrie Smith Stinnett. He had lived in Donalsonville since 1978 at which time he became employed with Three Notch EMC as a truck operator. He worked with Three Notch until his retirement in 2001. Mr. Stinnett leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Gloria S. Stinnett of Donalsonville, GA ; 3 sons, John Stinnett and his wife Susie, James Stinnett and his wife Gloria, and Randy Stinnett all of Donalsonville, GA; 2 brothers, Harold Stinnett of Spring City, TN, and Doug Stinnett of Battle Creek, MI,; 5 sisters, Brenda Orns of Battle Creek, MI, Affie Stinnett of Battle Creek, MI, Daisy Schlegel of Woodbury, TN, Betty Grider of Lake Wales, FL, and Claudia Yesh of Hastings, MI; 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Mr. Stinnett was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Seago, 3 brothers, Vern Stinnet, John Stinnett, and Creed Stinnett, and 1 sister, Margaret Mize.
