We regret to announce the passing of Collie Hill, Jr., age 65, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Friday, June 2, 2006 at the Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Baptist Church in Brinson, GA with Dr. Ron McCaskill, Rev. Zack Worsham and Rev. Stanley Phillips officiating, Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 3, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA. Mr. Hill was born in Decatur County on December 21, 1940 to the late Collie, Sr., and Evelyn Gause Hill. He lived in Donalsonville all his life, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Donalsonville. He was active in Bethany Baptist Church in Brinson, GA where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. Worked with the Eagle Scouts and was Scout Master for 10 years or more with Troup 509. An active with activities in the Class of 1958. He was employed by Duncan Electric Company for 38 years where he served as project manager for 30 years. And was a member of the National Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He served as President of the Georgia Chapter of National Electrical Contractors Association for several years. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Sandra Sawyer Hill; two daughters Fan Hill Matthews and her husband Glen of Bainbridge, GA; Deon Hill Tucker and her husband Jim of Alma, GA; two sons Eddie Hill and his wife Melba of Donalsonville, GA and Randy Hill of Bainbridge, GA. Three grandchildren Ashley, Garrett and Austin Matthews. Two brothers Kenneth Hill and his wife Joan of Rome, GA and Johnny Hill and his wife Faye of Donalsonville, GA. Also survived by several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Edwena Hill Peterson. Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Nephews. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
