James Patrick Boyd, age 40, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 28, 2017 at his residence. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday afternoon, Sept. 30, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Lake Seminole Baptist Church with Rev. James Scarborough officiating. The family will receive friends at their home and one hour prior to the service at 3:00 PM at the church. They also ask that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Patrick’s memory to the American Cancer Society or to your local humane society. Mr. Boyd was born in Bainbridge, GA on January 11, 1977 to Donald Boyd and Connie Argo Boyd. He attended Seminole County High School and went on to earn his Bachelors Degree in Music and Theatre from Armstrong University in Savannah, GA. Patrick was an accomplished musician, playing the piano, guitar, and harmonica. Not only did he have the ability to play these musical instruments, Patrick also was an excellent singer and songwriter. He served for some time as the Vice President of Operations for Flint River Hospice and owned Southern Pines Restaurant. His love for architecture and landscaping led him to build many things, including the renovation of his home. He loved the creek life and spent many happy hours there with his family. Patrick was a loving husband, father, step-father, and son. Needless to say, his daughter was his world. If one could describe Patrick with words, it would be that he was a good man with a big heart who would do anything for anybody. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Celesta Boyd of Donalsonville, GA; his mother, Connie Snyder and her husband Bill of Panama City, FL; his step-children, David Pollock and Leanne Pollock of Donalsonville, GA; and his daughter, Donnie Boyd of Donalsonville, GA. Patrick is also survived by his sister, Sara “Micki” Litwin and her husband Scott of Trussville, AL; as well as two nephews, Alex and Ryan Litwin; a paternal uncle, Paul Boyd and Aunt Jeri Boyd and a maternal uncle, James Lindy Argo and Aunt Belinda Argo, and Uncle Charles Ingram. Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his father, Donnie Boyd; his paternal grandparents, J.P. and Grace Boyd; his maternal grandparents, Lindy and Sara Argo; and three uncles, Kenneth Boyd, Johnny Ben Boyd, and Alan Boyd.
