Loyde Edward Alday, age 85, of Donalsonville, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday evening, September 19, 2017 at his home. Mr. Alday is also survived by his wife, Naomi Grieves Alday of Donalsonville, GA; his sons, Kenneth Wayne Alday of Ozark, AL and Stanley Alday of Dawson, GA; his daughters, Pam Hutchinson of Florala, AL and Beth of Washington; his grandchildren, Josh Gautney, Charishanna McDonald Hand, Harley Alday,Drake Wise, Ashley Cunningham, Thomas Cunningham, Amber Cunningham, Albert and Annette Gautney; as well as numerous other grandchildren; he is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Glisson of Bartow, FL. Mr. Alday was born on June 22, 1932 in Donalsonville, GA to Byron Alday and Allene Croley Alday. He served his country in the United States Army and was a self-employed appliance repairman. He was of the Baptist faith and member of Salem-Seminole Baptist Church. A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 3:00 PM in Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery with Mitch Royals officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Evans-Skipper Funeral Home.
