JAMES RODNEY SUGGS

March 1, 1954 — October 7, 2009

We regret to announce the passing of Mr. James Rodney Suggs, age 55, of Donalsonville, GA who passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009, at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Dr. Gary Smith officiating. Mr. Suggs was born in Bainbridge, GA on March 1, 1954 to James and Othelia Black Suggs. He graduated from Seminole County High School in 1972, where he played football for Coach Marcus Holley. In 1972, Rodney received the Mike Bowen award for his excellence in football. Rodney graduated from Bainbridge College in 1992. He worked as a LPN, a forest ranger, and a HVAC mechanic. Mr. Suggs attended Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish, as well as to watch football. Rodney was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Angie Suggs of Donalsonville, GA; one son, Kevin Suggs of Donalsonville, GA; his parents, James W. and Othelia Black Suggs of Donalsonville, GA; three grandchildren, Brantley Taylor Suggs, James Brandon Suggs, and James Braylon Suggs; one brother, Ricky Lee Suggs of Donalsonville, GA; one sister, Tamara Lynn Suggs Bradley and her husband Bryan "Redd" Bradley of Bainbridge, GA; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. . He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John B. and Myrtle Suggs; his maternal grandparents, Ennis and Levenia Black; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Barbara Armstrong; and a cousin, Nicole Taylor. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
