DEBORAH ANNE HOOKS DICKENS

Deborah "Debbie" Anne Hooks Dickens, age 62, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Friday, July 21, 2017 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Dickens will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Donalsonville Church of God with Rev. Phillip Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow in Oakview Church of God Cemetery with Michael Albritton, Wilton Albritton, Mitchell Sheffield, Mike Adams, Jason Long, and David Hodges serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 at the church. Mrs. Dickens was born in Donalsonville, GA on March 15, 1955 t o James Hollis Hooks and Mary Ward Hooks. She was an LPN and an active member of Donalsonville Church of God. Mrs. Dickens loved cooking and fishing and spending time with family and friends. She had recently found a new love for camping. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Timothy Dickens of Donalsonville, GA; her mother, Mary Hooks of Donalsonville, GA; her son, Richard Adams and his wife Kelly of Donalsonville, GA; her sister, Gina Swanner and her husband LaDon of Blakely, GA; her mother-in-law, Norma Dickens of Donalsonville, GA; her sister-in-law, Teresa McMillan and her husband Robert of Donalsonville, GA; and her sister, Tammy Dickens of Lakeland, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cidney Adams and Barry Adams. Mrs. Dickens was preceded in death by her father, James Hollis Hooks.
