Hazel Christine Daniels McLendon

We regret to announce the passing of Mrs. Hazel Christine McLendon, age 80, of Bainbridge, GA who passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. McLendon will be held on Monday, September 21, 2009, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA with Rev. Eric Boomer officiating and interment to follow in Corinth Freewill Baptist Church Cemtery in Iron City, GA. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, September 20, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. McLendon was born in Donalsonville, GA on October 12, 1928 to the late Rob and Mae Norris Daniels. She was a homemaker. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Larry Bird and his wife Vickie of Bainbridge, GA, Bobby Bird of Bainbridge, GA, and Joe Bird and his wife Marilyn of Lake Wales, FL; one sister, Mildred Cason of Hudson, FL; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rob and Mae Norris Daniels; her husband, Eugene McLendon; one brother,Robert B. Daniels; two sisters, Marie Phillips and Ollie Mae Duke; one son, Junior Bird; one daughter, Delores Bird; and one granddaughter, Liza Bird. Active casketbearers will be Jeff Sherrer, Heath Sherrer, Chris Buckhalter, Josh Bird, Brent Bird, and Anthony Bird. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
