NELLIE B. STEWART

Nellie B. Kennedy Stewart, age 76, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Stewart will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Donalsonville First Assembly of God Church with Rev. James Scarborough and Rev. Duke Barrows officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery with Kenny Brown, Andy Stewart, Mark Stewart, Scott Smith, Wilton Albritton, and Michael Albritton serving as active casketbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, June 21, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, an account has been set up to help the family with funeral expenses at Five Start Credit Union 305 W. 3rd Street Donalsonville, GA 39845. Checks may be made to Nancy Glisson or Mitchell Sheffield and marked for Nellie Stewart funeral expenses. Mrs. Stewart was born in Grimes, AL on Dec. 5, 1940 to William Kennedy and Nancy Valley McWaters Kennedy. She was a homemaker and member of Donalsonville First Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Stewart enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Robert Stewart and his wife Donna of Panama City, FL, Randy Stewart and his wife Kelly of Bainbridge, GA, and Nancy Glisson and her husband Michael of Donalsonville, GA; her grandchildren, Robbie Smith, Leanne Gingrich, Andy Stewart, Magen Greene, Rebecca Sheffield, and Mitchell Sheffield; and 18 great grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by three sisters, Ollie V. Neel and her husband James of White City, FL, Lottie C. D’Andrea and her husband Tony of Coco, FL, and Mavis E. Flight of Jacksonville, FL, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents, William Kennedy and Nancy Valley McWaters Kennedy; her husband, Bobby Gene Stewart; her siblings, Talmadge Kennedy, Harvey D. Kennedy, Arlee Kennedy, and Myree Snow; and a son, Andy Stewart.
