ChARLOTTE ROBERTA "BERT" COOVERT

Charlotte Roberta “Bert” Simpson Coovert, age 95, of Ocala, FL and formerly of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, May 9, 2017 at her residence. Funeral services for Mrs. Coovert will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Preston Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville, GA. Visitation will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 PM Mrs. Coovert was born on March 24, 1922 in Huntington, WV to Charles Elman Simpson and Deborah Ann Jackson Simpson. She was a homemaker and attended Spring Creek Baptist Church when she was in Donalsonville. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Barbara Blankenship of Ocala, FL, John Richard Coovert of Witcha Falls, TX, Jean Ann White of South Point, OH, Charles Hitch Coovert, III and his wife Gwen of Port Wentworth, GA and Linda Katherine Durbala and her husband Donald of Donalsonville, GA; and her sister, Elsie Jean Lewis of Piedmont, OK. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren Mrs. Coovert was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Elman Simpson and Deborah Ann Jackson Simpson; and her husband, Charles Hitch Coovert, Jr.; 2 sons-in-law, Bill Blankenship and Donald Edward White; an infant grandson, Charles Hitch Coovert, IV; and two brothers, Charles L. Simpson and Robert L. Simpson
