Rebecca “Becky” Farley Newberry, age 59, of Donalsonville, GA passed away Tuesday morning, May 9, 2017 at Donalsonville Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Newberry will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Donalsonville with Rev. Michael Wingertsahn and Rev. James Scarborough officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Memorial Gardens with Neil Moulton, Chason Newberry, Brian Farley, Meed Kelley, Michael Middleton, Jr., Parker Miller, and William “Bud” Miller serving as active casketbearers. Honorary casketbearers will be E.C. Bridges, Wayman Buckhalter, and the Deacons of First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM at the church. The family is gathering at the home of Dennis and Debbie O'Hearn. Mrs. Newberry was born on July 5, 1957 in Chattanooga, TN to Foy Farley and Sammie Kofr Farley. She received an Associates Degree in Computer Science and worked for a number of years in accounts payable at Donalsonville Hospital. Mrs. Newberry was an active member of First Baptist Church Donalsonville where she loved being a member of the choir. Cooking, playing with her grandchildren, and being with her family and friends were some of the most important things in her life. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Ted Newberry of Donalsonville, GA; her adoptive mother, Grace Kelley of Donalsonville, GA; her son, Chad Newberry (Kelly Williams) of Colquitt, GA; her daughter, Brooke Foley (Brad) of Guyton, GA; her brothers, Steve Farley (Vicki) of Leesburg, GA, Gil Kelley, Jr. (Lisa) of Donalsonville, GA; her twin brother, Mike Farley (Alyce) of LaGrange, NC; her sisters, Pam Chain (Gary) of Hattiesburg, MS and Cyndi Middleton (Mike) of Colquitt, GA. Two grandchildren, Hayden Foley and Skyler Foley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Newberry was preceded in death by her parents, Foy Farley and Sammie Kofr Farley; and her adoptive father, Gil Kelley, Sr.
